INGREDIENTS (for about 20 cookies)
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup unsalted butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
Sprinkle of salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp hot water
3 cups plain flour
2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees (fan-forced) and prepare a baking tray by lining it with baking paper.
In a stand mixer or with a hand-held beater, mix the sugar and butter until it becomes fluffy.
Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix until everything is well combined.
In a separate bowl, combine the baking soda and water, and mix it into the cookie batter.
Add the flour and salt to the mixture and mix until everything is well combined.
Add chocolate chips and mix until they are evenly distributed.
Bake for around 10 minutes or until the top of the cookies become lightly golden. Keep in mind that the cookies will continue to cook while cooling.
